Once again, I find myself so far behind with events and pictures to post that I just keep postponing any blog updates. But here I am to attempt it.
(Which means there will be less explanation and more randomness, but at least the pictures are up!)
James loves books on tape when we travel, but this one never made it to the car. He stayed up two nights later than his mom and dad, listening to
The Story of the World -History for the classical Child Volume 1: Ancient Times.
It absolutely captivated him! So we have volume 2 ready for our next road trip, but in the mean time we've listened to Captain Nobody and started The Little House on the Prairie. (shh- he like that time period and it makes a great bedtime story.)
You'll note in this picture James' animal buddies listening, but look at the light coming through his window in the upper left corner. Now that summer has been in full swing for a week, don't nights start getting darker earlier? It is SO HARD falling asleep when it's daylight past 10:00!!!

I love your new background. Truly my very favorite. I always knew that James was a classical child. Three cheers for ancient history. It is delightful to hear that he also likes pioneer stories. Let me know as soon as he is ready to start doing family research. I need a buddy.
So cute. It reminds me of Carter and Chase and there insistence on 'falling asleep' to audio books. Now its ESPN radio. I keep meaning to put their radio on one of those outlet timers. I need to get your list of audio books for Caleb and Corbin.
Thanks for the picture uploading post. Its been buggin me forever! I forgot how late it stays light there in the summer. We miss you guys!
