James, Lizzy & Anna all participated in our neighborhood's 2nd annual triathlon that two of my dear friends put on. It was amazing and the kids LOVED it!
(don't bother looking for last year's post about it...pix are still sitting neatly in a folder on my desktop... guess that's why I feel compelled to document it now, despite several other neglected pictures..).

Elizabeth was the only one to swim the length of the pool in her heat. The other 6-year-olds opted to swim in the shallow end.
People thought Jim couldn't keep up with Anna- but actually, she wanted to run all on her own, so Jim snuck in and ran a few yards behind her the 1/2 mile. -She spotted him at the end!

That is AWESOME! Seriously, I would love for my kiddos to do something like that. Great neighborhood, great people ... makes us miss it!
