On the Road Again...

My AWESOME packing helpers. Yup- emptied EvErYtHInG out of James' drawers and tossed them around the room. It was such fun.(?)

Anna started out the trip ok...
Elizabeth loves one of her super surprises!
So does James. I had to take this picture despite Jim's nagging to "take off the nose before he suffocates".

Well, the floors didn't get mopped and uncle Jeff didn't get his German Chocolate birthday cake, but we got out of the house and on the road before traffic, and that was the goal. Our 12 hours traveling in the car were really not bad- Jim and I enjoy road trips and with occasional super surprises coming out of my bag mixed with DVDs, James and Elizabeth enjoyed their time, too. Ahh, but Anna. Poor little Anna. She has NOT liked her car seat since she was little and that disdain remains. Perhaps it is because of ALL the traveling she has done in it. Wow. She screamed and protested and screamed some more. Leading to coughing. Leading to throwing up... I kept giving her bits of food, trying to keep her mind off how angry she was... guess I stuffed her too full! I even turned her car seat forward facing a month early hoping the change of scenery would help. Nope. But we made it and had a very nice time up at Nate and Mandy's wedding celebration. It was so beautiful up in the snow (pictures will surely come soon...). Glad we have 3 weeks before the next roadtrip though. How do you pass the time traveling?

Wow..that car ride must have been hard. We listened to 'Lemony Snickets' for 6.5 hours. The british accents had us mesmerized. It was nice chatting with you at the wedding. If you ever need a sitter when your in PHX call us, Haley loves to babysit/ We'll look you up when we come to Tucson!

It looks like they have fun OUTSIDE and INSIDE!
You guys are troopers to make that trek! Love the pig noses. Jimmy's suffocating comment is classic;)

That is one of the most frustrating things for me...to have a baby screaming in the car. I hate it because they just don't understand why you can't just pick them up like at home. It is so aggravating. Hopefully she will soon begin liking the car better.

Those animal noses rock! Where could we find those same things?
