Cooling off up in the Canyon

We had big plans for a fun morning with all our family together, so we started it off with hearty breakfast burritos. Mmmmm
Grandma surprised the kids with a really cute book which they loved. It entertained us on our Yellowstone drive, too!
We brought cousin Caleb along with us. Here, he encourages James as they cross the roaring river to the island...
They made it! (now what?...)
Adam inspects a mouse hole.
Seneca takes Granmama for a walk
Somehow Lizzy had a brilliant idea to cross the outside of the bridge (with Anna right on her tail, of course). Good thing uncle Jeff was there to the rescue.

The daring rescues caught on film (or... SLR...)
They sure adore their uncle Jeff!
Jimmy takes the kiddos on a hike.
While the rest of the guys play a round of croquet.
Quote of the century by Adam Leavitt, to his mother (and if you know Kristin, you know why this is so, so hilarious...)

When Kristin opted out of the boy's round of croquet,
Adam replied:
"Yeah, 'cuz girls don't much know how to play."
Lizzy skips around while James and Caleb play football
James' caterpillar and the conversation that followed:

James: "I'm going to name mine Halloween."
Caleb: "I'm going to throw mine in the river."
Anna shares a starburst.

Just chillin'.

(we missed you, Rob and Jenesse!)

I just love your family. :) And I don't even know this Caleb cousin character of yours, but that comment about throwing "his caterpillar in the river" just about killed me!

Fun fun! At least we got to get the house in some sort of order before you guys got back! :)
