and the kids like getting out as well.
But Anna insisted on either walking down the path backwards...

or running.
(the next shot would have been her lying face down in the gravel, had I not been a compassionate mother and carried her screaming the rest of the way. -screaming because she wanted down again...)

Look over there, buffalo!

While Jim and James hiked a hill to watch wolves with other die-hards in the cool evening breeze,

The girls entertained Joseph and me in the car.

One Yellowstone tradition remains: why bother doing the girls' hair?

just the boys

Seriously ?!
they were all over my kiddo's!
side note: As our sleepy family walked into a saloon for dinner late that night, a man pointed to us and with amazement told his buddies "Look at that, four kids!"

I'm not surprised you are all up for Yellowstone again with all of the success you have seeing animals. Cute pictures.
Everyone looks darling and appears to have as much fun at Jellystone as their daddy does. Love all the camo. Did you notice if any of the animals had changed since the last time you were there? Longer fur coats as they get ready for winter maybe? I hope Jim's superstitious luck held out and you didn't run into any bears. Wolves are wild enough.
I LOVE Yellowstone! And I love seeing pictures of your cute family.
