She was a bit shy as she came out, but then performed beautifully!
The girls then performed in our ward's talent show. Lizzy was invited to do the Hokey Pokey with a few other friends. Although she wanted to clog, her true talent came through as she supported her friend.
Anna's friend, Hannah, invited her to perform some of the ballet moves they learned in their brief ballet class. Once on stage however, Hannah wanted Anna to bail with her, but Anna was set to perform. This look on her face told me I'd better put the camera away and remind her what her dance was.She did a fabulous job!
James didn't want to perform. He wanted to display some fantastic piece of work. It started out as a Lego creation. His few attempts ended in him wrecking what he'd started. So I bought him a large poster board to draw on, since he is constantly drawing meticulously creative pictures. He was so excited to get started that he began while I was making dinner. Before I knew it, I heard the sound of paper ripping and sure enough, he'd messed up somewhere and therefore tore the entire poster up. Seriously, I have no idea where he gets this perfectionist personality.
So the day of, I threw these pictures together of James' recent talents and interests. (Thank goodness for Costco's one hour photo services!) James was pretty thrilled and all three kids had something to show for the Primary Talent night.

Oh, I can't wait for that stage of girldom.
Also, I can totally see Jake pulling that rip-it-up mentality. He freaks when the train tracks break or when the cars get off course. Hmmm.
