Oh, Anna

Our little Anna is a treat. She's got such personality and is a sweet, headstrong little girl- can't believe she'll be 4 this week! Here are a few of her latest "ism's"...

To a friend she had over earlier this week, "Do you know why my Mom is so FAT? It's 'cuz she has a baby in her tummy".

As she admired her bright red lipstick she'd just applied herself, I walked by and said she looked gorgeous to which she replied dreamily "I kno-o-ow!"
When I asked Anna to pick up the toys she'd been playing with she protested "Lizzy and James and I always have to do all the work. You never work. Why do I always have to do all the work???"
Similarly, while at the grocery store Anna was sick of me telling her no to every request she made. "How come you never buy what I want? You only buy what you want to buy." This is too bad, because up until now it seemed I had her trained because she would always ask if a certain item was on sale.
And just tonight, as Jim was helping her get ready for bed he noticed something she'd gotten into- pretty much caught red-handed, and the girl denied the entire thing, blaming it on James, Sissy...and Jovis. Even as he bribed her with candy (she will do anything for candy!) to confess and/or apologize, she held strong that she was not to blame. Oh, Anna... we love you!

P.S. Although Anna has likely more clothes than anyone in our family (with hand-me-downs and clearanced deals...) she wears this skirt any chance she gets, and rotates through about 3 favorite shirts. Here she is modeling her Build-A-Bear's jacket???!
