Yes to NO

Ah, our little Buddy Jovis... He has always been such a fun loving, sweet little man. He replied "ye-e-e-s" to everything, with the sweetest little voice. Then he came home from a campout with his dad and brother and was as ornery as can be. "oh, he just needs a good night's sleep" I told myself. But 48 hours later not only was he ornery, but he'd learned the word "no". Our lives have never been the same.
We still have moments throughout the day where our sweet Jov appears and we get cuddles and loves, but more often than we'd like, it's "NO" and screams and pulling of hair (Anna seems to be his favorite victim).
This is Joseph's response to Anna calling him the birthday boy this morning...
But then he got to open a present, and was sung to, and had siblings giving into him all day, and we saw a lot of that darling little dimple.
 Looking at a fellow "Joey";)
 creepy condor.

 Yeah, seriously creepy.
James rough-housing with the lioness. Amazing!!!

A special birthday bonus. Jov loved it and once I got him off his elephant, he sat on the bench and would. not. leave. I had to disappoint the birthday boy, as I was not about to spin around on that thing a second time...
Do these girls not look like they are about to take off after Mary Poppins?!

Ah, we can't get enough of you, big guy!!!

What a wonderful day for a very special guy. Love all the photos. And we now know the secret cure when a two year old has the orneries--singing, cake and presents! Happy birthday, Jov!

The pictures of James jumping in that puddle are awesome..what a fun mom! Joseph is stinkin' adorable! What a cutie! And that little miss Abigail Pearl is so dang precious. Thank you SO much for including us in receiving her announcement. IT IS SO AWESOME. She is so, so cute. Wow! She is proudly on our fridge!! You have some really, really good genetics going on! xo

Happy birthday, Jovis! You are right on target with your behavior and age. You look like a very handsome guy with your cool spiky hair-do. Can't wait to see you soon.

It was sweet when he gave Oliver a hug today. He's a cute kid. A day at the zoo sounds like the perfect place for a 2nd birthday. You were very lucky to have the lions interact like that.
