Such supportive hubbies! This lunch break was well deserved.
Emily and Jen showing how FUN canning can be!
Over 15 hours and 3 days later, here is some of what we have to show for it. (thanks for the pictures, Celeste!)

Ummm... note to self: don't put cool bottles in boiling water...
Never mind the fact you can probably buy peaches or pears from the store for the same price, with far less hassle- but look at the memories you'd be missing out on. Once Jim and Scott got home from work (and brought pizza's with them) we put them to work in the kitchen. Wow, many hands make light work!
If for nothing else, I have a great feeling of accomplishment. This was my first year canning for our own little family and I appreciate even more the memories I have of canning with my mom and sister.

Okay, so you have now scared me off of canning forever...that looks WAY too advanced for me! What kind of Mormon mommy am I that I have never canned anything? But if I had canned something, you better believe I would take and frame the pictures to prove it, so I'm glad you got pics!
Yummmmm, canned pears! Wow, you are quite the domestic momma aren't you! Love it!
Wow - good for you! I seriously hate canning... I've only done it a few times. My mother-in-law taught me how to make the best spaghetti sauce out of canned tomotoes! I figure, you can get away with buying canned stuff most of the time, but it's a good skill to have, right?
Regardless, you look cute doing it!
