Thanks to my awesome husband, I was able to take Anna and be there for the occasion. It was beautiful, and being with so much family was just great!!!

I'm not sure why I took this picture in the elevator, but it reminds me how Anna bravely overcame her fear of stepping over the crack between the elevator and the floor. This fear was also conquered over the crack to the airplane.

Jim was the kid's favorite baby-sitter (I'm still explaining to the kids that he was simply being a Dad) taking them to a movie and staying home from work with sick kids. He managed to keep the house spotless while getting some projects done. James is just about out of the habit of eating Cheerios for dinner. My favorite phone call was on Sunday when Jim asked how I detangle Sissy's hair. I called back an hour later to see how things were progressing only to learn he had taken her over to our neighbor's where she patiently combed through two of the largest rat's nests she'd ever seen. (and being the mother of 4 young girls, that's saying something!) Thanks, Tonya! [See above header picture of the kids all ready for church that day...]

So fun that you got to go! I'm jealous of your trip. D.C. is now one of my favorite places! (Although I've only been once.)
