a Pirate Party

We had fun celebrating cousin Adam's 4th birthday with lots of family!
Joseph hangin'out with Papa
(seneca, we missed you!)

This picture of Kristin just makes me happy:)

Pirates pose with Papa

party poppers galore!

thank-you hugs all around

And Rob and Jenesse spend the evening putting together a game- thanks Mike & Lauren.

Grandma gets a little silly with extra frosting...

and then gets carried away...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Granmama got all kinds of goodies and Kristin & I helped create a pirate treasure hunt for the kiddos.
1st G'ma made sure they all started out looking like pirates
(using make up rather than food this time;)

With extra lipstick, beards, and crazy teeth, these pirates are ready to hunt!
Good thing his dad's a dentist! (why does this picture crack me up?!)

The pirate clan ready for their treasure hunt voyage

aunt Kristin reads the first clue...

The kids soon find each clue with accompanying treasure
like telescopes
and tattoos.

Joseph can't stand the excitement!

At last, the pirates find their treasure ...and what a treasure it was! Thanks, for the adventure, Granmama!

Oh that little sleeper is such a dreamy little baby. I want to squeeze him! Looks like you guys all had fun. The pirate theme is perfect! (I wonder if you all told my favorite joke while there? haha) And, your mom really captured it all with the frosting and make-up. Love you guys. [Really] miss you tons!

how fun is that? Looks like a terrific party ... i am way too uptight to organize something like that. Your kids are lucky to have such fun family around them!
