Our witch and bat neighbors came with us to a trunk-or-treat at the church where James opted for his vampire costume, Lizzy was a flower, and Anna her bee.

Anna got a kick out of Daddy's mask he wore to a party.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of me in my s'more costume. (I know, I know--- what is it
with me and my pathetic, cheap costume ideas???- driven by food, nonetheless...)
Anna was so excited about her play school halloween party! Tonya was amazing- letting the girls trick-or-treat to each room in her house, playing games, and even sending them all home with a pumpkin! (And I love how 4 of the 5 girls are princesses.- the Monkey couldn't figure out what was so great about wearing dresses;)
I had a great time helping out in James' classroom. I took charge of BINGO which we turned into "Don't Eat Pete". None of the kids had ever played, but they ALL loved it!!!

The whole scary bunch.

We were surprised to walk out to the car in our first snowfall! (and yes, that is James' freshly painted pumpkin under his coat- nice and dry.)

Uhhh-

Grandma and Papa came up for a brief visit so we headed to the pumpkin patch with them and cousin Adam.

The kids loved getting buried in the corn!

Awww...

Anna with Grandma watching the pig race.
My sis 'n me.

What is weirder than a grown man riding this cow ride?
The fact he is looking at the camera, smiling.
Uhhh, no, sir, I'm taking a picture of my nephew -behind you...

We raced home from the fun and games for a quick bite to eat before hitting up the neighborhood for candy with cousin Adam.

I have heard of kids leaving their candy out on the porch for the the Halloween Witch to fly by Halloween night and exchange the candy for a book or toy. In fact, as I was assessing one kid in James' class Monday, he told me that he left his out, and in exchange received $12. Not bad! But we always just combine the kid's stash, put it out of their reach, use some for bribes 'til next year, and make yummy shakes out of the good stuff.
