Blogs Schmogs

I love blogs.  I love checking in with friends and family (as I am one of the handfull of people in the US not connected to facebook ...yet...) I love getting ideas from creative people, and I love using my own blog as a journal of sorts.  But in the 2 1/2 years I have been blogging, I have yet to print it off, as I have intended to.  I used to be such a journal keeper.  I still intend to print off my blog posts, but the task is overwhelming to me.  I think THIS may be a more reachable goal. I love the idea!  Two weeks into it, and she has her second page done HERE .  Isn't my mother in law creative?!

After making our anual grandkid calendar for my parents:

I have learned just how FUN and addicting digital scrapbooking can be.  I've played around with it before, but once I immerged myself in this 12-page project, I'm hooked!
If I download, sort through, and select a weeks worth of pictures on Saturday, then spend an hour (or two) making them into pages on Sunday, I too can have a book easy to print by the end of the year.
Is it too late to add this to my new year's resolutions?
(and perhaps replace one that I have yet to begin?...)

You go girl! Great idea. I'm already super impressed with your goal. *Although, I'll tell you that printing your blog isn't really that hard. They have an easy link at: cutestblogontheblock.com, just download the dates of your blog that you want in a book, omit comments, and you're done. You can edit if you want to, but you don't have to. Check it out.

To Ans your Q: Yes, I downloaded one before going to bed, and was impressed with the finished product in the morning. I wanted to go back and delete commnets, and some posts that I didn't want included, and I needed to finish the year before printing the book--but I haven't done that yet. I was impressed with the easy process, and it looks like it will be nice. There are a lot of companies now that do it. Just google blog books or printing your blog in a book, and try downloading one, one night. See which one you like the best, then go with it. (Feel free to delete this post.) M--off to the kitchen to take some picts! Good Luck
