I will miss your:
1. Beauty. Each season has its own beauty, and the beauty of freshly fallen snow is just peaceful.
2. Coziness. It is comforting to cuddle up with blankets, hot cocoa, popcorn and books or movies inside, when the wind is blowing frigid air all around outside.
3. Comfort foods. Yeah, we can crock pot stew, bake rolls, and make crisps in the summer, but it just isn't quite the same.
4. Joy. the joy on each child's face when they see snow falling is priceless. The joy of building a snowman and snow fort and the joy of crunching white snow will be missed.
5. Sledding. It really is a fun activity for all of us!
6. Putting kids to bed with the sun down at bedtime. Yeah, I'll really miss that.
I will not miss
1. the gear needed for each member of the family, just to run a quick errand. Hats, coats, gloves, shoes, baby blankets etc...etc...etc...
2. melted snow tracked across the wood kitchen/entry floors.
3. snow clothes lying across the garage and laundry room.
4. paying outrageous prices for produce. All the more reason to get that garden started up.
Wow. Look at this: 6-4. Much to my surprise, Winter, you have won my heart over. It must be the optimism in me because boy am I ever ready for spring!

Great list and photos. You make winter look like Disneyland -- sooo much family fun. And I have to put both your great winter wear and toys, and the big roomy garage to dry it, in the plus column for winter. You guys really know how to do winter right!
