Sadly, this past week two very special pets passed away. Who knew that loosing two animals whom I haven't lived with in over 10 years could affect me. But entering their home and not having Maggie anxiously greeting us at the door, or watching the cat scurry away at the sight of the kids has been slow getting used to.
Thanks for the entertainment, memories and friendship!

I was not too familiar with the cat but I am sure it would be obvious not to have Maggie around. That is too bad. My mom said she was quite sad about it too.
Awww! I can honestly say I have never grieved over an animal. Call me hard-hearted, yes, but having never had an animal, guess I dont know what I am missing. Sorry for your loss. I would have gladly given you our three beta-fish we left in our latest move (I wanted to just flush um but Tony was humane and found them a nice home). Maybe next time!
I am so sorry for your loss Karen. I know that can be difficult. As I am sure you are realizing, it is a great opportunity to teach our kids about death and that all doggies and cats go to heaven! :)
Maggie and Winnie! I remember when they were just babies! That will be weird not to see them next time I go over! I will miss Maggie being scared of popping gum and her patiently sitting there as children yank and pull at her. I will miss them! All pets go to heaven!
Karin, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I can totally understand why this would be hard for you and your family. They've been part of your home for so long.
oh, such a sad time! it will be weird going home and not seeing maggers and "the cat"! i will miss her opening the bedroom door in the middle of the night with her paw...
How sad!
I was just telling Blaine that there are few dogs in this world I really like, and Maggie is one of them. How's your mom?
