After taking him to school this particular day, and while Anna was napping, Elizabeth decided we should have a picnic. So she made tuna sandwiches and we headed outside. Unfortunately the sun looked warmer than it felt, but Elizabeth was happy to comply with the idea of continuing our picnic inside.

Many years ago when Joe and I first got married, we took the kids to DisneyWorld for our first family vacation. While there, Matt insisted on having a mustard sandwich for lunch at one of the restaurants. Although we tried to convince him that he didn't want a mustard sandwich, he insisted that his mother made him mustard sandwiches all the time. As you may know, kids rule at DisneyWorld, but there were no mustard sandwiches on the menu. The waitress provided me with some mustard and white bread, and I made him a mustard sandwich at the table. It was one of the self-help restaurants, not the full service ones. Matt seemed happy until he took a bite of the sandwiches and spat it out, yelling that "this was NOT a mustard sandwich." I was perplexed until some weeks later when we figured out that his mother makes him sandwiches using Cheese Whiz, which he thought was mustard.
Um . . . YUCK! What is up with kids and their weird combos? My little bro used to make Miracle Whip sandwiches. I guess if he cleans it up himself its okay but still! How you feelin?
