I LOVE that James has turned into this major reader. He LOVES to read! Last week I found him "hiding" in his closet with half a dozen books lying all around. James claimed he couldn't sleep so he wanted to read. Ironically he was reading "We Can't Sleep" by James Stevenson.
I then walked in to check on the girls, and I found Sissy in her usual position. Every night she gets this little princess stage light, leans it against her wall and uses it as her own personal night light. This night she had the 123 book she'd made for Anna's birthday in the spotlight of it. Oh how I love the quiet peace that comes once sweet children have gone off to dreamland.
And since I'm on the subject of books. you MUST check THIS out. My dear friend compiled a list of chapter books for young readers. James LOVES the Magic Tree House series, so the girls hear a lot of those, but I am absolutely DELIGHTED to add to our library of chapter books. And yes, even our 3 year old sits for pages at a time of a chapter book. Thanks, Sarah.

I hope Isabel develops that love of books like your kids! That is the coolest thing that they love them so much. And maybe I need to invest in some of your chapter books for the future. We've got a while to go, but I really have no idea in that area!
