James loves any chance he gets to use last year's Christmas gift- his Red Ryder BB gun. So we just knew it would be a dream come true to get to go pheasant hunting with his dad, uncle Dave and cousin Gavyn this weekend! (of course there are many more pictures, this is just the only one I can download for now...)
...And it was, until a bird was shot. When asked what the highlight of his day was, James replied "when that one pheasant flew away and no one shot it. ...Do you know why it was kinda sad when Daddy shot the female pheasant? Because what if she had a baby in her tummy, or what if she was going to take food to her baby."
Awww, so glad to hear he has a soft spot. This boy sure does love animals! The question is: will he eat our pheasant dinner this week???
