The Cake

Because Anna was sick, I was just going to give the kids left over cupcakes, then make and take pictures (since really, that is what all the fuss is truly about) of Anna's cake once she got better. But Jim was SUCH an amazing help, that I decided to go ahead and make a banana cream pie (his favorite) for him.
THIS is what it looked like after my overly anxious and helpful James tried taking it to the table. Luckily there was more filling in the bowl, and with some extra whipped cream, we were able to salvage the runny pie.

But what she REALLY wanted was the goods...
which she dug into...
and LOVED...

too much...that it was hard to not giver her any more...

but alas, "it's my party and I'll cry if I want to..."
