Phoenix Good-Byes

Jim can't stop talking about how much he enjoyed this past Saturday. We met up with my brother, Jeff, and when time got short because of lunch, gassing up, and going back to retrieve forgotten shoes, our plans for going to the zoo changed to playing at Jeff's neighborhood park and pool. The kids' (ok, James') disappointment was soon forgotten in the ice cold waters of the pool. Elizabeth and James splashed and played for nearly 2 hours. Anna enjoyed throwing rocks in the water... James was recapping the FuN he had and even included "walking to Jeff's house from the pool, just with Jeff". Yup, he is a fun guy and great uncle. We are going to miss living relatively close to him.

We then joined up with two families for an evening BBQ and had such a great time catching up and relaxing with old friends from Idaho. We are grateful for good friends we have met throughout our many moves, and sure enjoy keeping in touch with so many. The kids played so well together and the Barlow's home is just gorgeous, with plenty of room so we adults could enjoy conversation without the interruption of too much chaos! Taeya and James share a birthday, but are one year apart. In fact, we celebrated their 2nd and 3rd birthday together at the Idaho fair! Aliya and Elizabeth are just 10 weeks apart and have so many similarities, it's too bad they can't get together more often. Payton was great to share his awesome animal toys with James and they were inseparable the entire evening. Good thing Weston and Tisha are so fun and patient to put up with all the little rascals!
