Anna almost spent her 1st birthday the same way that she spent her first birth-day… in a hospital. After throwing up over 20 times Friday, followed by a few episodes Saturday with various other unpleasant symptoms we decided she needed extra help getting re-hydrated. So I took Anna into the pediatric ER at 9:00 where she was given an IV. This did the trick and we rolled back on base at 12:00- just in time to sing a Happy Birthday lullaby and put her to bed. But the night before of NO sleep caught up to me and sweet Jim was gracious enough to take the three kids on a drive at 6:30 this morning so I could get a little more rest. I instantly fell back asleep, not to wake up ‘till 10:00. I can’t remember the last time I slept past 7:30! I immediately jumped out of bed and simultaneously turned on General Conference and phoned Jimmy to notify him his sleepyhead wife was now up and he could return home! Wow… It’s been quite the weekend…
I’ll post pictures of the party girl tomorrow, but for now, a few random stats…
Favorite foods: cheese & avocado
Favorite activity: family wrestle mania
Favorite things: damp wash cloths to carry around, clean with, and suck on; toys that rattle; objects that fit in the palm of her hand (chap stick, travel lotions, and other such choking hazards)

Dislikes: long car rides, overbearing siblings, anything scary, being sick
National Parks visited: 3
States she’s been to: 6 (Id, UT, AZ, NV, TX, WY)
Places lived: Idaho, Utah, Arizona &Texas (it was nearly 1/6th of her life = home, not visit!)
# of plane rides: 6
# of teeth: 8
Days spent in hospital: 5
First words: dada, do-do(dog)
Signs: please, more, all done, drink
First crawled at 7 months
First steps Jan 28th
Cutest trick: "leading the music" when we sing I Am A Child of God
Anna took her time coming into this world. So much so that we had to induce her one week after her due date in order to ensure her Daddy could meet his little angel before leaving for training! However, once we sent a formal invitation (broke my water) she was compliant and came quickly. Thanks to an incredible doc and supportive husband (sweetly reminding me mid-push sans drugs "this is how you planned and wanted it") recovery was a breeze. And ever since, Anna has been a laid back, easy going girl who is absolutely adored by her big brother and sister. We love you, baby girl!
