I love celebrating little holidays with the kids. They get so excited over simple things, it is just fun watching them share the joy together. However, on St. Patrick's day, I was less than impressive with my plans for the day. I thought I was doing good to have clean green clothes for the kids to wear, and even added green food coloring to our pancakes (maybe had I skipped this step and stuck with Lucky Charms for breakfast, my green sheets would not have turned tan...){see previous post}
This was all fine, until we picked up our carpool friend for kindergarten and found out a leprechaun had entered her home in the night and turned her milk green! The kids were so excited about this, and anxious to get to school to see what else may have happened. Thanks for the inspiration, Laura- now I knew I had to act fast.
Elizabeth got to go to a friend's princess birthday party while James was at school, and in that time a leprechaun indeed came to our home- turning our toilet water green,
leaving out green lime punch with all kinds of other green things like celery, lime yogurt, and broccoli (the kids have never been so excited to see veggies before!) made us a yummy 4-leaf clover snack, and left his tiny green footprints all along the way.

I don't know if you remember but Mrs. Daughtry did the same thing kinda. She left blotches of green paint all around as their footprints and they hid our journals!!! :) Good times. You're a good mom.
You're such a fun mom! I also had to make a quick change of plans for dinner when I heard about all the "green" fun at school! And thanks for your nice comments about my pictures...I think the editing is just as fun as the picture-taking!
That is such a cute idea!
You are such a fun mom. I feel a little guilty. I THINK I mentioned to my kids it was St. Patricks Day...maybe?! I had planned to do some fun activities and research the holiday etc., but a friend needed help, and all my good intentions to celebrate at a later date have gone by the wayside. :(
