Knowing his snack day was soon approaching, and not wanting to bring something embarrassing like his idea last year, James requested homemade pretzels. (That is how we redeemed ourselves after those veggie kabobs.) I was out with a migraine the day before, when I had planned on making the pretzels, so the next morning I was up at 6:00 making dough. Between rising time, and getting 4 kids ready for the day, I decided to just bring the treats in by 10:10 (scheduled snack time on the class calendar). I arrived at 10:09, race in w/ Joseph on my hip and the girls trailing behind, only to find a class full of kids snacking on Goldfish.
WHAT???
Teacher: "Oh, thank you! We can have these as a special afternoon snack later."
LATER?! Seriously?
Next time we're just bringing crackers.

(similar snacks to what we brought. Like I really had time to take pictures before 10:09...)

Wow! Wish my kids were in that class ;-) Hey, can I get that pretzel dough recipe? I had one YEARS ago and I'd LOVE to make them again! Can you pass that on to me PLEASE!
Oh, there aren't many things I hate more than feeling unappreciated. That's too bad. :( Just remember that I think you're amazing! And I would have LOVED your homemade pretzels!
