I read about THIS and had to laugh because our internet and phones have been out since Saturday (along with 25 neighbors). What an inconvenience! A guy came to fix our internet on Tuesday, and hopefully our phones will be back up by 4:00 today.
I read somewhere of a family who unplugs one weekend a month, and I think that is a great idea. I didn't quite get to the point of being this ontop of things but having no internet certainly made a difference in my day. I mean, I had to look in an actual sewing book from my shelf to try and figure out how to attach bias tape to a blanket; instead of turning to google I got half a dozen insect books from our library for James to read through in order to choose one for a school report; and Elizabeth and I have done some serious brainstorming for her upcoming princess birthday party, rather than searching popular party idea sites.
Give it a try- you just might like it.
