My Mother's Day Montage

Mother's Day was enjoyable and relaxing this year- just how I like a Sunday to be! We enjoyed a brunch with the Christensen boys, Hills and Dave and Melinda's family. It was delicious and the boys proved their skills in the kitchen need to be utilized more than once a year. The camaraderie was just fun to be a part of! Look at these happy helpers!

But about that bacon... Emma's face says it all.

However, the crowd of cousins was easy to please and scrumptious eggs, waffles, strawberries, OJ and mashed potatoes, er, uh, I mean soft hash browns were devoured!

Spraying their own whipped cream was a treat!

Hills and Christensens then got ready for church and 13 of the 17 grand kids humored us with a group picture. Oh yeah, I still owe a few candy bribes to certain little ones...

Ok, so I don't even think GRAMMA could photoshop this into a happy picture of all,
but at least it's documented we were all together!

Thanks for lending the house and helpers, Katie and Larry. We absolutely LoVe getting together with cousins and family and we sure miss the rest of the bunch when we're not all together. We are blessed with GREAT aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents on both sides of our families!

oh, and, uh, P.S. uncle David; THIS is what crispy bacon looks like:

Looks like everyone is having a wonderful time. There were plenty of smiles to go around. (Although there must be a story about the bacon sushi.) I bet Katie & Larry were enjoying their peace and quiet too. Grandpa, Haley and I also had a rare day of rest that Sunday. Thanks for posting such a lively documentary of your Mother's Day!

My boys couldn't stop raving about the waffles and brunch (not the bacon, however). Thanks for documenting. It's fun to see what went on while we wer gone.

Thank you for your hospitality. We had a wonderful time, were very comfortable, enjoyed the food and loved the company. I really feel like I gave it my best effort and ultimately must throw in the paper towel and apologize for my inability to cook bacon.
