Evening in the Canyon

Uncle Matt carries sleeping Sissy to our spot.
Adam sleeps through the set-up.

Much fun was had playing catch, soccer, tag, red rover, eating and just chatting.

THANKS Granmama for the AWeSoMe kites (and aunts and uncles for flying them)! The wind was perfect.

James High-5's uncle Jeff as he finally relinquishes title as Monkey in the Middle between he and uncle Matt.

Uh, it's Kristin- she's determined and a sprint star... we should have been more prepared (no mercy!)

James conspires with uncle Jeff to strengthen their weak red-rover chain.

Granmama and Papa with all 4 tired grandkids-to date.

After demonstrating the "smile detector" on Jenesse's new camera, Jeff successfully tried to outsmart it by smiling upsidedown. Genius.

Kristin catching up to Guy as Elizabeth free's James in a game of freeze tag.

After the rowdy fun, we crashed and watched Jeff's impressive slide show of his recent trip to Peru. (and Anna got stuck climbing on Grandma's table...???)

This was my first attempt at driving the 6 hour car ride solo. The kids loved the books on tape we borrowed from the library and didn't even pull out the DVD players the whole 12 hours in the car! Anna was less-than impressed though, and when both siblings were asleep we got out the punching balloons thoughtful Tricia gave the kids which entertained her the rest of the drive!

*I really do try to consolidate pictures and post just the highlights- these are just 81 of the
334 pictures taken this week. But hey- these are documented for our family's keepsake book
and you can skim through them as quickly as you'd like.
