The kids had a blast feeding the gorgeous horses... Notice Jayden's face as they were trying to persuade them to come over- he wasn't really sold on the idea! Anna climbed up that fence and wanted in on the action, too!
Hazel learned how to drink from a straw!!!
a DEER! (Anna was more excited than Daddy!)
These boys LOVED fishing! I was hoping someone would ask for a license and notice the pinecones and even a magnet at the end of their lines. NEXT year we'll expect them to bring home dinner...
Sissy can blow 'em now, too!
Peeking at a birds nest on our ealry morning hike
"I'm getting these fyowers for when I get mowied in the temple to James."
Thanks, sweetie!
why do they even MAKE seedED watermelon anymore?
Was it psychologically therapeutic? Was it for the sake of tradition? Was it nostalgic? Was he bored of staring at the same 4 cabin walls and whiffing up dead rodent odor? I don't know what sparked the desire, but even Dave hiked to the pond -just a week after knee surgery.
James was DeTerMineD to get the "treasure" he could see just a few feet under the pond water... With the help of encouraging cousins, the retrieved..... a broken buoye (what IS this?)

We all ran over to see what Sancho (the big black dog) was going crazy over. Turns out the little kidd-o's got a close up lesson on dog's instinct to dig out and catch whatever they may see-- even cute fuzzy little innocent squirels. (James: "he didn't even eat it; he just killed it and left it.")
Emma, Elizabeth, Ada, Anna, Jayden, James, Gavyn
We were so happy to have busy bishop Grandpa join us for a night! (and REALLY missed the rest of the fam!)

River FUN!!!
Dave even made the long trek down those steep stairs to partake of some of this delicious fresh grub ...mmmmm

What great fun times!!!!
You are so good to take your kiddos on outings. I swear I dont take my kids any where until they are at least two. I dont want to deal with a toddler who isnt good at walking yet adn all the crap and mess that comes with them!
What fun you guys are having! That's so wonderful! It's WAY too hot here, even with our "monsoon" season here. I'm jealous! hey, the kids were saying "Boogie Trap" today and made me laugh and think of Elisabeths Run from your life! I love that!
Karin, this looks like a great trip! Tell Jimmy I LOVE the hat!
:)
Wow! You guys did a lot and boy does it look fun and bring back memories. Those dirty faces are VERY dirty. They are still adorable underneath it all.
