Several weeks ago my cousin, Laurel wrote a humorous blog about common sayings gone wrong. Her example was of someone who listed a desk on Craigslist as "Chubby chic" meaning "Shabby chic"! Hilarious. I know I've misused some and get others backwards (case in point or point in case...) but that one was a good one. Well, one of my favorites that Elizabeth uses regularly is: "Run froM your yife!!!" It cracks me up each time- probably because I can relate... don't you just sometimes want to run FROM your life?
What other good ones have YOU heard?

I can't bring any of those types of saying to mind but my kids say some pretty funny things at times... A few would be: Holy crap big bear! (Shane at age 2) What the heck? (Canberra age 2) But I just already did (Shane age 3) FAT OWL (hearing us say that is "foul" Shane age 2) the boys would use "infected" instead of "invisible" so we'd hear them saying "I'm infected!" "You can't see me, I'm infected". That's all that comes to mind at the moment, I'm tired.
I knew that Elizabeth was my favorite!!! That is my now favorite saying: run from your life! wow, that is awesome. My brother in law once meant to say he had a congenital defect (you know, something from birth) and instead announced he had a genital defect....um...we're still laughing over that one and poor guy gets reminded about it ALL the time!
